ive only ever done an official upgrade using DM... but im looking to upgrade to .348 and im curious to see if it is better to wipe the device then install the new os... or just simply upgrade.... so whatever method is best for a smoothly running device i'll do so... any instruction and or links would be much appreciated. thx
Some will tell you to always wipe before you upgrade. I used to. Then it occurred to me that part of the OS upgrade process incorporates a device wipe anyway, so I abandoned that, and I wipe every 4-5 upgrades or so (just because I'm OCD like that.) The steps in the link in my sig are a good general outline to follow for upgrading. It's an oldie but a goodie.
