So, I am eligible for an upgrade.
Currently have Curve 8310 on AT&T.

The 9700 looks good, but then I read about the other models including the latest Curve. My head spins when I try to read all the reviews.

What would you upgrade to? and Why?

I had the 8310 and went to the 9700 on ATT, my thinking on it was if i was forced to have bb plan why not have a 3g phone. I looked at the new curves and i didn't like the feel of them or the raised keyboard, as opposed to the 9700 where the keyboard is more comfortable and I think I type faster on it. Plus the battery on the bold is amazing where you can easily get 2-3days on a charge, not to mention it has one of the fastest processor on the market next to the nexus one or anything coming out now.

In short if you are upgrading and the cash isn't an option I'd go bold it's better in every way than the 89xx or the 85xx

i went from a 8310 to 9700 to because I wanted the 3G and the effin wifi lol

took a few days to get used to the keyboard but i love it. i just had my visual voicemail cut off though, that annoyed me.

I would upgrade to the 9700 its the best bb right now. The 8500's are great phones but are considered low end and the 9700 is high end.

I would take the 9700. I actually just got the 8900 because it was only 40$ with my upgrade. I forgot about it being egde only and would've paid the 100$ to the the 9700 for 3g if I remembered that little thing.

no question, 9700. 8520 is way less phone. The 9700 is a great upgrade to your old curve. The new curve has too many similar parts from your old phone
