When you upgrade your bb device to a newer model do you send your old one back to the provider?

I never have (on tmobile) but I heard some people do, maybe its only for other providers?

No, the phone is yours to keep. Some carriers have a trade up program. Usually you don't get much that way. You can sell your old phone on ebay, amazon or CrackBerry and get more for it.

I've never heard of it being mandatory. As the other person mentioned, there's a trade in program, but like selling your old college books back, they don't give you anywhere near current market value for them.

Its yours to keep no need to send back unless you wanna be green and have them recycle it for you or donate to like a battered womens shelter.
