Strange, I unlocked an AT&T Bold and a Cincinnati Bell sim works fine for voice & sms but data does not work. Is that a 2nd step?

There is Cinci Bell coverage here because I put the sim back in the Cinci Bell bb and the net + email works fine.

Any idea what I am missing?

No, I didnt think to do that yet, it doesnt get data.

When I power it up 1st it says edge then
EDGE 3g.
Then SOS.

No connection to the Internet.

I found a link but it is for use with T-Mobile service / service books.

Any idea for Cinci Bell on an AT&T Bold what is needed?
Voice works, Data does not.

Are you sure it is unlocked? The SOS signal indicator means that the BB is outside of the coverage area and roaming is not available.

Voice works, that is what is strange.

Incoming and Outgoing calls to the Cinci Bell sim work.

I did not, let me try that. I was never able to get a Data Connection so I did not think of that.

Top left is the SIM in the Cinci Bell 8800.
Then the other 3 are in the Unlocked Bold.

An account already exists for this Blackberry device. (It is getting emails through AT&T BIS)

Strange, I am able to make phone calls.
One blackberry messanger text went through via data.

Now SOS again.

What is even more strange is overnight between 3am & 8 this morning I received emails & a Blackberry messanger on the Bold with the Cinci Bell SIM in.

It says CinBell USA for carrier name & wifi is enabled. Could they have came through via wifi???

Is it service book related, what could it be?

It says CinBell USA at the top for network where it used to say AT&T and on the top Right it says GSM and 4 out of 5 coverage bars.

data is tied into the pin..

I think its still active on at&t the pin may not be released...

keep in mind that voice and sms have nothing to do with data and BIS servers..
