I've had my BlackBerry Torch 9800 for several years but over the past few months I am unable to send an email if I'm connected to any wifi. I can receive emails but not send and I can't figure out why. I'm connected to wifi at home and at work so this routine is a royal pain as I have to disconnect from wifi and then send, then reconnect.

    Welcome to CrackBerry!

By any chance is it a POP account? My Roadrunner does the same thing, but actually I can't send at all outside of my home. Receive is fine.
I've tried all ports possible for the SMTP outgoing server and no dice. Something about the protocol that pop account uses to reduce spam or something like that.
I wish I had an answer myself.

A lot of ISP's are blocking port 25 - so your phone is trying to send out port 25 over your home internet connection which is port restricted

So can I change it to something else? Although I've tried various ports.. It's a pain not being able to send an email or reply when I'm not home...
