    Hi guys, just a quick question: why am i unable to load os 10.3.1 onto my Q5? ive tried via BB Link, and ive even tried to update it through my phone via wifi. Every time i search for an update, it keeps saying that "You have the latest software". im currently running on os 10.2.0.415. i havent used a blackberry since the 9700, so any help will be appreciated. thanks very much in advance!

    Updates have to be approved by the Carrier that the phone was sold by... might be radio unlocked, but probable still locked to a carrier.


    Best bet is download an autoloader and us that with a PC to manually update the phone.

    You're using a Q5 variant that isn't supported by your carrier - so you will never be able to update.

    Do it yourself with an autoloader.

    Download to PC, unzip it, plug in phone, run autoloader. Done.

    Device will be wiped in the process. Use Ultimate Backup first if you wish. Avoid Link like the plague.

    hi again, thanks for your help earlier on. i downloaded the file you shared with me, but im unable to load it onto my phone. every time i plug my phone into my computer, my blackberry doesnt appear. i also currently dont have an sd card inserted into the phone

    Your BlackBerry doesn't need to appear in Explorer, and you don't need an SD card.

    What happens when you run the autoloader?
