Does anyone know if UMA will work overseas on T-Mobile? Thanks.
I read a few links saying tha TMO blocks it on purpose (to collect roaming), just wanted a second opinion. So far the support personnel at TMO has not been forthcoming.
I've heard a few people say that their phones work flawlessly of wifi from other countries, and other people say it doesn't work... I have no personal experience with overseas use but I don't see why it wouldn't work... The phones are just connecting to t-mos servers so I don't see why location would matter. Let me know If you find out the real answer.

It matters becauseit's trivial for them to block your acess for whatever reason, including your actual location which they know from your IP address.
Now for the experience... Drum roll...
UMA in fact does not work on my 8820 (at least in Switzerland).
