I've a blackberry bold 9700 os 5.0.0.862. I just got talkspot plan. The city I'm living in we just got 3G yesterday,so whenever I'm on 3G my UMA doesn't work but as soon as I switched it to 2G UMA comes back on. Was on the phone with rogers talkspot supports for over 2 Hours, and he suggested me to reinstall the os and i did but still the same. Any idea?

Stay with EDGE/UMA until they get everything working correctly. If you will out Wifi range for a while, switch it over to 3G.
All the time I was using the 9700 my phone would never connect to UMA direct from 3G, only from 2G. Since I've switched to the Torch on BB6 it connects to UMA from either 2G or 3G.
You can turn it to 2G only in your mobile options and get your UMA connection and wait and see if BB6 for the 9700 solves the problem between 3G and UMA
