Try a battery pull while the device is on.

Have to tested your speaker to make sure it is still working?

The simplest way is Voice Activated Dialing, if you hear the prompt, the hardware is fine. Alternatly, you can open an audio or video file with Media Player.

If the speaker is defective, it can be replaced, but there will be shipping delays.

In the interm, a Bluetooth headset will likely let you continue to use it.

I have the exact same problem. My music still plays fine, so the speaker is good. If I switch off UMA, I can hear, but not using UMA. My phone will ring, I can answer, they can hear me, but I can't hear them? If I try to make a call, I can't even hear it ringing on the other end. Again, if I switch off UMA, it seems to work fine. The problem is, here at home, I don't get a very good signal without UMA. I have had this for about 5 months and it has worked fine. My wife has the same phone (8900) and hers still works fine. This just started doing this last nite?

Finally.....I restarted the router about 4 different times to no avail. I tried removing the battery on my phone too. Nothing.... finally restarted the router and took the battery out and waited a couple of minutes. After putting the battery back in it is working again.... Go figure!
