Treo Convert Needs Help with Phone Dialing

I have been a Palm Treo User for the last 4 years and converted this month to a Blackberry Curve - I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED FOUR YEARS FOR A BLACKBERRY! IT BLOWS TREOS AWAY!


Anyway - How do I dial a number that's not in my contact list? Isn't there a Phone Icon. My manual talks about going to Phone but I can't find it. What Am I missing. I have my options set up to not to allow dialing from the home screen so I can use the shortcuts like F for Profiles, B for Browser etc. Even on the Short Cut list I found it says hit P for Phone. But nothing happens on my 8330 Curve?

Hit the green button, or just start dialing depending on how your device is setup.

ops sorry didnt read that part, hit the green phone / answer button or make sure you didnt hide the phone icon on your home screen
