Hi I'm eligable for a hardware upgrade, and I'm having a hard time choosing to keep my 9810,or go with the bold 9900,I don't browse that much, also I own a playbook,so I hear that the bold 9900 works better with the playbook??? I don't know, well any feedback would be greatly appreciated
as coldsunshine have said, aslong if you know the pro's & con's about each device.
you are pretty good to go though, it's all users preference, both are good devices.
but they are still different from each other. none can really tell you which one to get.
merely some advices and a little bit of this and that, eventually it's your choice you need to make.
so you already have your 9810, if so i would keep it.
They're honestly tied in my mind. I use both the 9810 and 9900 and my PlayBook, and the larger screen on the 9810 will be more useful to control the PlayBook when OS2.0 is released. The 9900 doesn't "work better" with my PlayBook than my 9810 does. They both Bridge equally as well with the same number of annoying little hangups and random disconnections.
The keyboard on the 9900 is the best keyboard on any phone by far, and while it is better than the 9810's keyboard...I find the 9810's keyboard almost just as perfect. If you get to keep your 9810 after you get the upgrade to the 9900, then I'd say definitely get the 9900 so you can use both! They're both great phones that have their strengths, and even their weaknesses aren't even that weak (some say the 9900 is bad, I think it's pretty good, but the 9810's is better...just like the keyboard situation..some say the 9810 is bad, but I've had no problems whatsoever).
If you have a 9810, is anything wrong with it? If you upgrade now, when will your next upgrade be due? Why not wait for BB10 since the 9810 is on the most current platform, you won't really gain anything.
...My Torch on the other hand; well, I never forgot it was there.
Not necessarily a bad thing for people like myself. I can be one of those "hey were's my glasses?!?!" (on top of your head...duh!) kind of guys.
But yeah, as other have stated, both are great phones. The 9810 does not have NFC capabilities, but that won't be an issue until it is more widely implemented with businesses.
