I'm due to upgrade my Bold 9780 and want to go for the Torch 9860 just to have a different style for a change. I've been browsing the websites and found Orange UK are no longer offering the Torch 9860, I rang Phones4U and their 9860s have all been recalled - any ideas why??

You can find Blackberry Torch 9860 available for sell online on many places such as Ebay and other classifieds websites such as kijiji and craigslist and even here on Crackberry at the marketplace forum.

You can buy unlocked Blackberry Torch 9860 device and use it with any SIM card from a GSM carrier, if you are using your Bold 9780 with Orange sim card then you can buy a US branded device such as a Blackberry torch 9860 and get even if it's not been unlocked yet (if you buy a new one) then you can get it unlocked online with Blackberry unlocked websites and then use your unlocked torch with any carrier.

I suppose I'm also curious as to why they are not selling them - 2 big dealers such as Orange and Phones4U. Do they know something we don't?

My carrier (AT&T) is still showing the 9860 as available online.

Its a damn shame that a lot of carriers are choosing not to carry the 9860. I just can't understand their logic as to why because it's an awesome phone in my opinion.
