Look into getting emails from Seeking Alpha. I don't agree w/ a lot that they say. But the comments, like here, can give you in site. A perspective. I know little about how it all works. But I enjoy the slow process of trying to educate my self.

If the company is purchased for cash then your shares would automatically be redeemed for cash. If the company is purchased with stock then you might receive shares of the purchasing company.

If the company goes out of business then there usually is no value left for shareholders since bond holders get paid first.

If the company stops making hardware then that is not directly affect your stock.

You are going to have to deposit money in a brokerage account and use it to buy shares. You don't buy shares directly.

Shares can drop to zero. Shareholders/owners are residual risk bearers. They own the equity which is assets minus liabilities.

I am about to provide you with some real effective advice: If you want to learn about investing - You need to research and study the market first; The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Read articles online on the company you plan to invest in - Take a look at the company's future road map; provides inside on how the company plans to move forward - Helps determine stock price.

And remember - Always think a few steps ahead; Like a game of chess.

Head over to your bank and talk to a person who can assist you with investing.

    Yeah, do some research first

I can't answer all the questions but I bought some shares in 2013 July. They were really cheap back then and I sold them off a couple months ago for a nice profit.

If the company goes bankrupt, you basically lose all your money you invested. (well most of it)
