I am a former Treo user and migrated to a BB 8530 Curve recently. I was able to synch all of my outlook contacts successfully.

In Outlook, I often annotate each contact phone number with some identifying text. For example, John Smith may have 4 different numbers associated to him so I have different labels associated to each number.

    For Example:

    Home: (123) 456-7890 John's primary office
    Mobile: (123) 456-1234 John's remote office

My Treo would dial these numbers fine and ignore any trailing text after the 10 digit number. The BB on the other hand tries to the dial the 10 digit number and anything after it.

Does anyone know how to change the settings so the phone will just dial the numeric digits or just the first 10 digits and ignore any alpha characters? I did it once but I could not remember what I did to get it to work so I know it's possible.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I had a Palm Vx years ago. Being able to add descriptive text after numbers was handy. Unfortunately, I don't know any way to do that on a BlackBerry.
