Newbie here. Is there a way I can send and receive text with the ATT Blackberry Internet package? I have a Curve 8310 and AT&T. I do not want to add texting to my bill because I rarely ever text.
Many providers allow for you to send an email to something like:
<phonenumber>@<provider>.com, each one is different, I know for Verizon its [email protected], so thats an option, use the BlackBerry email service, however I imagine its probably a bit slower than straight up SMS since it needs to pass through conversion points to and from.
Email to SMS Gateway will give you a list of the email address you can send emails to the will get send as SMSs to the various carriers. As for receiving you just need to get people to send the SMS to your email.
