has anyone else with a 8130 has problems with the voice prompts not finishing? I have contacted them about this issue but without any success in fixing this. I'm waiting on response back from them. They had me clear out my RMS database and since then i can't get there code to work. keeps saying "unable to transfer activation code to further devices" i hope they didn't screw something up on my phone....

Angus,
The "voice prompts not finishing" issue is a BB 8130 O/S issue, not a Telmap navigator issue. I experience the same problem. I also experience the same problem with amAzeGPS and Nav4All. I haven't found a solution to this, as I am waiting for a newer BB 8103 O/S than v4.5.0.89, which is what I have now.

Actually, I have an 8330 with the same problem. However, there is a solution, at least there was for me. I bought Garmin. No problem with voice prompts not finishing.
"You should know that you must maintain your own data package, and that we may keep GPS logs of your navigations."
is that really necessary? I don't like being spied on.
Honeslty?
Theyre obviously collecting statistical data to see how you use the program an to improve it, not sitting wherever theyre located syping on you to come after you. cmon now thats just paranoid.
And if you think any gps program is "secure" beyond standalone programs like on Windows Mobile like Tomtom, igo, etc your data ALWAYS goes through a server in programs like BB maps, google, this, etc etc. None of these companies are syping on you, they could care less where you go.
Out of interest Phil, which aspects did you find which were better than the Nold specific version?
I suppose they don't now show rivers etc. for example, do they?
It now fits the 8900 screen correctly, and with a revised layout it just looks and feels much sleeker. Oh, and the homescreen icon is now the correct size
Not sure about rivers... I haven't tried navigating to one yet
Ahh very nice.
I just got my 8900 and loved the idea of a GPS feature since I'm coming from an 8320. I tried TeleNav and it worked well, but I'll give this a try and see how it works.
