I have a Q10 that I went on a plan a couple months ago and im with Bell on a bb plan. I tried to put my micro sim into my iPhone 4s and it doesn't work. If I get a 9900 will it work since they are both blackberries? I figure the iPhone doesn't work because I'm on a bb plan...

    Thanks for your help!

Hi there, can you advice what you mean by 'it does not work'?

The Q10 uses a micro SIM whereas the 9900 uses a standard size SIM. So I guess you'll need to get an adaptor if you want to use the same SIM card.

What didn't you like about the Q10?

From time to I take the sim out of my Z10 and use my 9900....I just love that phone. Be very careful though, the micro-sim slips off the adapters easily and the adapter can get wedged behind those pins, then you're fcuked.

you could ask bell to switch your BIS data to regular smartphone data.

Ofc it doesnt, the older phones use a standard size sim card where new phones like iphone 5 and BlackBerry use microsim

Your micro sim should work on your iphone 4s as well because the Q10 is not like os 6 and os 7 that needs the BIS.

My old plan which I used for my 9700 remains unchanged despite using and buying a 9900 and now a z10. It also works on iphones without having to have it changed with and by my network.

But of course, needless to state, you would have to either change your sim or cut it so that it becomes micro size for the newer z10 and etc.

You need tape micro sim to the adapter using scotch tape. The sheet tape come with the adapter is too thick, will damage the sim slot.

IPhone 5 uses a Nano sim actually.
