Sudden reduction in texting characters

I seem to have had a reduction in the number of texting characters on my Blackberry. I don't know if I ever had 160 but then it was down to 145 and now it seems to be down to about 50. How would this happen?

Any help would be appreciated.:confused::confused:

I read about this a couple weeks ago. Someone said theirs went down to 60 char.

Maybe if you search, you can find that thread. Perhaps someone found a reason/workaround/solution.
