This thread links a ZIP folder that has all the precision theme icons,

    forums.crackberry.com/f16/storm-precision-theme-icon-set-download-82407

Two of these icons are are WiFi (432 and 433)... Does this mean there is a possibly hidden WiFi capability in storm?

It has WiFi but Verizon doesn't want anyone to know it's there. They were going to charge for it but they are releasing the Storm 2 so they aren't going to worry about it.

Verizon disabled Storm WiFi due to a glitch that emitted dangerous levels of radiation. You may be able to Google and find the unlock code, but you would have to wear a tin foil hat whenever you come within 10 meters of your Storm.

Whoa, is that why they called it the "storm"? Because of the storm of radiation released? Lol... Any other answers?

Yes, and the Bolt browser will send lightning bolts into your brain if used on a Storm with Wifi unlocked.

Seriously - Is the WiFi icon just a relic that they forgot to remove when they took out the hardware? or what?

Wifi icon would be for 9520 Storm that has wifi. 9500 and 9530 have no wifi hidden or otherwise.

The Storm 2 will have wifi and GPS.

Yeah, and my 8900 has a hidden 3G transceiver... People, the 9530 doesn't, never has, and never will have WIFI. Get over it and move on.

I know this will sound dumb, but that counts for all storms right, not just the US? I mean like other countries that have storms they can't use wi-fi either right? I know, dumb question

the current storms (9500 and 9530) do not contain a wi-fi chip. if there is no chip, there is no wi-fi, no matter what country you are in.
