    Hi,
I just got myself a BB Curve 8310 about a week ago so I'm new here.

The phone was great and everything was working fine until recently I lightly dropped it (while in its rubber skin), and now I have been experiencing slight static during my phone calls. I was wondering what the chances of these two events being correlated and what the problem might be (and how to fix it). Any reply would be appreciated.

    Thanks

You mean static shocks (static discharge), or noise on the audio which you are describing as 'static'?

    Hi,
Sorry to clarify - static as in the noise I can hear during phone calls.

If the noise is new, consistently present on all calls, and it interferes with your use of the phone, the drop probably caused some damage. You probably need to get it serviced or exchanged.

Before you risk the inconvenience of changing the device check carefully to be sure it is on all calls, and not due to bad connections or noisy conditions at the other end. Even one single call without noise would suggest the phone is OK.
