I had the same issue. tried the air. helped 50percent. still have to push hard to get space...

I had a similar issue with my space bar on the rhs it wouldn't register then after a couple of blasts with the compressed air all is good now.

I had an issue with the space bar on my LE and bbmo replaced it under the one year warranty if you haven't had it for more than one year I recommend you give them a try.
