I sold my Curve 8330 yesterday, and the guy who bought it was a major creep (I did not know this until I met him to give him the phone, at which time I also found out that he works at a computer software company developing some kind of software, so he has significant IT experience). It was a Curve 8330. I took out my memory card, did a handheld wipe, then called Sprint and had them give me the MLS (or MSL???) number which removed my info from being attached to the ESN and it seemed to do another handheld wipe as well....

Did that COMPLETELY remove any of my info from it? Is there some way he could attach something to it and like read my past key-strokes or anything (I don't want him ever getting any of my passwords that I entered or confidential/work related information that I sent via my Curve)? I think I'm just being paranoid, but I'm getting really worried. Thanks!

If you wiped the device, there's no possible way he can recover any previous info from the phone. And since you've called Sprint and had your info removed from the phone, you should be safe.

To answer everyone's question about what the guy did that was so creepy, I actually don't want to say in the event that he signed up for this site (i.e. to learn how to use my former / now his phone) and recognizes me. THAT'S how awful he was. Let's just say that it was getting so bad that after the Sprint dealer activated it, she pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted her to call the police. He was bothering her as well....
