On Hotmail, GMail and most other e-mail clients, you can go into the settings and change the name that appears next to your e-mail address: that way, the recipient of your e-mails will see "John Doe <XX@XX.com>" rather than just "<XX@XX.com>".

Is there any way to do this with SMS e-mails? In other words, when I send a text/SMS message to an e-mail address (rather than another phone number), how can I ensure that the recipient of the e-mail will see "John Doe <555-5555@messaging.sprintpcs.com>" in his inbox, rather than "<555-5555@messaging.sprintpcs.com>"?

    Thanks for any help
