Bethany, did you pull your battery? You need to open your case while it is on and pull your battery out, wait about 30 seconds, then put it back in and wait for it to restart. Then check your free mem. You will be amazed, but do it right now. Actually the consensus among the old time people is 12 mb is the lowest one wants to go.

Tech support for Verizon advised me it is NOT a good idea to pull the battery while the BB is on. Said it can lose data and software by doing it that way. If I remember correctly they STRONGLY advised against it.

Lee, I will just say that 99% of the experienced users on this site will disagree with you strongly, and 60% of them will point you to multiple tutorials on this site and others - including BlackBerry's that recommend routine battery pulls for maintenance. I think you might have gotten an inexperienced tech. My suggestion is that you click in the search box above and do a search of battery pulls for free memory.

To help you see one of the threads about it because you're a new member, I have put a short cut to a thread for you below.

Hooray Bethany! I was pretty surprised how much space that actually makes. I think you might benefit from Stoner's guide in the how to section. I did it except I didn't run MaxMem -- I wasn't sure what I wanted to delete, lol. Here's the link (below).

Yes. Anything over 12 mb and you have almost 15mb.
