Press ALT + the BACK key (to the right of the trackball) and check to see how many programs you have open. If you have a lot running in the background, it could cause your berry to lag... try shutting them down the correct way (MENU key > CLOSE).

Next, press ALT + LGLG and your Event log will open up. MENU key > Clear Log.

Then, do a battery pull and see how things run

Oh, sorry... I didn't realize you had a Pearl. I have a Curve, so it's a bit different... I'm not sure if those first two steps apply to you.

Okay, cool. Glad you got it sorted

that is still very low. you need to follow LilCostello's link. you have 5mb of free space when you nees at least 10mb to have it running properly.

I did that on my Curve which isnt low memory but I had a ton of items in that log. What is that log and is it safe to delete and clear the log??

Yes it is. go ahead and delete it. I do this every other day and do a battery pull once or twice a week.

I did the Alt + LGLG and a huge list of things popped up on my curve. I just want to confirm that if I cleared these, its not erasing any programs. After the words Event Log it has WARNING in parentheses.

    They look like this:
