All in all, it really depends on how the slider turns out. If I could have a phone that is almost identical to a Z10 or a Leap and a keyboard slides out of the back it is a no brainer. On the other hand I was never really that fond of the Torch 9800. It was too much of a compromise for my liking, the screen was a little too small and it was a little too bulky for what it was, IMHO.

With that being said, from what I can gather from the pictures I have seen, the screen is large and it doesn't look bulky. Really, I won't know until more is shown, but if I can have my cake and eat it too I will...

And, with all that being said, I've always liked the ability to open and close a phone to lock it and un-lock or end a call. I've never been very harsh on my phones. I had always been a full-touch-kind-of-guy until I got a Passport. Three full touch phones and then the Passport, makes me question what I had been doing all this time.

I, I, I don't know! Leave me alone. I loved my Torch Slider but my Z30 is so nice and I'm used to it.

LOL, that's awesome, funny man...! :-)

Sorry, mate. But I reckon there's quite a few more in the same dilemma....

Between two, Slider. Since BlackBerry is really going for niche market (Passport / Classic), mind as well go for Slider! .....& how about BB10 flip? ( eternally hopeful)

I'll vote for the slider because it can be used just like a full-touch.

As long as the unused keyboard doesn't add too much thickness.

I loved my 9800 and 9810, but their thickness always bothered me.

I want the slider. I suspect it will allow both full touch AND slider keyboard, to be used to type in information.

All touch, sliders tend to be heavier and thicker, they also tend to damage easier. Just give us an update to the Z30.

Slider of course. If I want a full touch I will buy a Samsung galaxy S6 Edge. Ok Blackberry, now start to work on that invisible slider Visa / Victoria. I will continue to buy BlackBerry phones then.

Bring on the thickness! As long as I don't wear tights I have nothing to worry about.

I personally want a full touch. But I understand that it wouldn't sell well in the sea of other full touches (like the Z30) and that BlackBerry needs to differentiate itself more. A slider makes more sense for the company. I'll happily buy it when it comes out.

    If not...
    Well...
Why should I buy a slider phone if I want a touchscreen phone? I'll just buy an Android/iPhone instead.

I'd honestly like to get the same stuff, that all of you guys (the ones suggesting to buy a slider, even though a full touch is desired), must have taken for this collectif delirium.
Hmm, trying to avoid Android and IOS as long as I can. So if nothing new of interest pops up Ill stick with my beloved Z10. Though I am tempted to by the slider and rip of the keyboard. Love the current touch keyboard.

Slider.....the full touch thing is boring now....i can guarantee you if your in a crowd and you have a full touch and people ask what is that they are like it's a blackberry they will be like "ok cool" but pull out a slider with dual curved screen edges they will be wow that's a blackberry mad mad cool and will seem more interested in the product and willing to go check it out. Personally as a tech geek I find the slab thing extremely boring.

If the slider is at the right price I'll consider it. If not, I'll stick with my Z10 a little longer.
