    1) Google talk - just have to be able to chat

    2) Gmail - to be able to forward attachments

    3) TodoMatrix - I have been using it quite extensively to manage people and projects

    4) Telenav - Wow, this brings the car nav system right into the phone. I was a little sceptical of it at first, but it has been soo helpful

    5) Google maps - part cool factor, part sidekick for Telenav

    6) Google Sync (for calendar) - Just installed it, but I needed something like this - thanks Google.

    7) Opera Mini Browser - the built-in browser is only so-so, the Opera Mini browser takes web surfing to the Ok/Good level on the Blackberry

    8) MidpSSH - I run a lot of linux servers. Being able to access them with a terminal app is a requirement

    1) Google Talk - need to be able to chat
    2) Gmail - need to be able to send attachments
    3) BBSmart - for reading emails (removes HTML codes)
    4) Telenav - wow, this one was suprising - it's a car GPS in the phone.
    5) Google Maps - this is a great addition to Telenav, also really like the sat view and GPS integrations.
    6) ToDoMatrix - working on multiple tasks, managing multiple people
    7) MidpSSH - I manage a number of linux boxes and write software, so I need terminal access to things
    8) Google Sync - Calendar sync is a must have
    9) Opera mini browser - also a must have - built-in is just so-so, Opera Mini takes web browing to an OK/Good level.

I've installed and uninstalled quite a few. Back when I had a PDA, I kept only the best software I could find, even though there were tons of things available. Same for Blackberry, there's a lot of junk out there. I rely on this forum, and others, to recommend software, both free and paid. I only have a few "essential apps" installed. To be honest, there's not too many "killer apps" that I've seen.

Ascendo DataVault is my absolute favorite. even though i don't use it every day, i can't believe what a difference it makes to have all my important information in one secure place... i keep passwords, CC numbers, SS numbers, insurance policy info, work info, frequent flier stuff... everything that i would otherwise lose!
