Honestly? You never have them? I get asked all the time. At work, by friends. And no I don't initiate it. My phone will be in plain site, I see their eyes drawn to it, I assume trying to figure out what it is. I know immediately what's going to come next based on the expression. If it looks like they just smelled something bad, I'm about to be asked why I'm still using a BlackBerry. If not, usually a genuinely curious question follows.

BlackBerry didn't just lose users, they made enemies.

Nope, not the same at all. I don't ask people why they don't use BlackBerry nor try to get them to use a BlackBerry. If they ask about my phone, I answer their questions, but that is that.

Also I would never spend $1000 on a phone.

I just agree with them & then tell them that it has recently bought several international companies that manages medical influence securely, allows phones to use 1 Sim with 2 numbers & still have more cash than before the financial year started.

They are still the market leader in cars, medical equipment OS, airports & power plants. One more thing, they are also making a small profit in their last financial report too.

Actually that sponsorship came about when BlackBerry was in the red, in 2013, while they were still chasing the consumer market. They're probably riding out the final years of a multi year agreement. Chen has never spoken of that sponsorship nor have they flown out executives on BlackBerry's private jet to attend a race (at least let's hope not).

Having a sticker on a race car does not increase BlackBerry's strength in the enterprise arena.
