I'm new to all this. I need to do mobile banking and was told by the bank to send a msg to: 12345 and put Help in the subject line. I first put the bank and the # in my contacts. Then I went to the SMS and selected the bank and sent as was told. Received an error back saying "Error invalid number. please resend using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code." ????????
Oh, you don't know how I dread contacting this bank--it's a big one and I never get the same story twice. Granted the number I put in my note is not the same number they told to put it but it is still a 5-digit number. Whenever I received SMS security codes from them (don't ask), it came from a 5-digit number.
