- I followed the instructions to download crackberry on my blackberry pearl 9100, however, when I go to http//wap.crackberry.com, I come to the home page. (http://crackberry.com/] I don't see this image below. So, how do I installed the crackberry.com desktop shortcut?
I tried typing in http//crackberry.com and http//wap.crackberry.com and still come up with the same problem.
I did noticed on upper left hand corner it says mobile blog and doesn't say crackberry.com WAP.Last edited by Golfergirl13; 10-21-10 at 03:55 AM.

Try m.crackberry.com after http:// without www
I also get the error message that the app is not compatible with the device. I also tried the m.crackberry.com after http:// without www and still same issue.

10-21-10 04:00 AMLike 0 - That's strange because the old launcher works on my 9100. Do you have problems opening other websites from your browser?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-21-10 10:44 AMLike 0 - No other problems browsing the website. By the way, when you say "delete the "new" CB launcher, and install the "old" CB launcher" what do you mean? I don't have either the old or new CB launcher.10-21-10 11:37 AMLike 0

What I was saying in essence is that people who have the new launcher do not see the 9100 or 9800 forums using their link but the old launcher lets me get to the NEWEST CB forums on my 9100.

- There is an application /LaunchPad I believe/ that will allow you to create desktop icons. A "Launcher" if you will. Or you can download the Blackberry Theme SDK and create a basic theme with a launcher shortcut built into the theme.

m.crackberry.com will bring up the mobile variant every time....
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-21-10 02:11 PMLike 0 - mjneid is correct. If I go to m.crackberry.com I will get the mobile variant.
Another silly question. How do I bring up WAP3 design?
And yes, it is frustrating not able to get crackberry on my new Pearl.10-21-10 02:29 PMLike 0 - forums.crackberry.com will take the user directly to the forums. but if they were using the full HTML version, it'll bring that up, if they are using the WAP3 design it'll bring that up.

Also, you said to go to my WAP browser???? I don't have that...just a browser.
So, I guess there is no way to install the crackberry.com desktop shortcut on the new Pearl?10-21-10 03:17 PMLike 0 - Ok, log onto crackberry from pc and changed the details to WAP3. Then went to forums.crackberry.com on my pearl. It looks just like the WAP3 on my pc

did you look at that launcher app i mentioned?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com10-21-10 03:25 PMLike 0 - I don't know where the launcher app is located. According to the Blackberry 101 instructions, I should just be able to go to wap.crackberry.com on the new pearl and install the crackberry.com desktop shortcut. Is that the same as the launcher?10-21-10 04:07 PMLike 0
- Where is the launcher app located? I was hoping to find a way to install the crackberry desktop shortcut according to the instructions but I guess new bb can't get that installed.10-21-10 04:55 PMLike 0
- I think I found the launcher app, however, when I put the device I have, it says "this product is not compatible with 9100 3G (Pearl).10-21-10 07:32 PMLike 0
- To get the CB forum shortcut on your Pearl, you need to click on a .jad link for either the new or the old launcher, and the download is supposed to start in the same manner that a new theme is added with a .jad link.

I think you said you can browse the Crackberry forum from your Pearl?
Using your Pearl, click on this link and see if the .jad file download will start...
