I would highly NOT recommend putting a silicon case on your pearl. the sides of the phone are silver and when dirt and grime gets in there it scratches the heck out of it. :( just a tip

let me rephrase..if you go outside and have the possibilty to get dirt...quite a bit of it in your case, take it off first. just tryin to help. hope it does
I am outside a lot and still have no problem. I have even dropped mine in dirt.

oh ok......
or you could weigh the options.
1. Scratches on the phone.
2. phone cracked to pieces.
1. scratches on the phone - wont use the silicone case
2. phone cracked to pieces - use my previous case to avoid that, without scratching my phone to h*ll.
Out of curiousity: Are you using a silicone case made by BlackBerry or one from another company?
i have several and one is a dark green/blue from blackberry and i think the other 2 are from some random
I use a silicone case made by Blackberry and I've had no problems. The silicone does trap dirt between the case and the phone but every few weeks I take the case off and clean the phone.
I get phones from people at work that need to be worked on all the time and you would be surprised as to how dirty they get whether they use a case or not. I take them apart and anywhere there is a joint/gap there is all kinds of dirt built up. So regardless of whether you use a case or a sleeve the phone still gets dirty and grimy and scratched.
