I'm not sure if this is related to the OS, or merely to having an email account on your smartphone. But, I notice a lot of people have the default signature on for email, "Sent from my...".

Curious, why do YOU, if you do, use it?

When smartphones went on sale waaayyy back in the day, I understood the need to advise someone that they were being sent an email from a mobile device, etc. Now that smartphones are more common place, and thus probably the first place an email is being sent from, is the "Sent from me...", needed? Is it more about 'marketing' and advertising now?

    Your thoughts...

    Yes. Signature.

My one is the default carrier one, expanded by some info that I don't always answer emails promptly, if they want a prompt reply they should use TXT/SMS or BBM. Followed by info about BBM app availability on all phone platforms or bbm.com

Product placement... for my fav messaging platform :-)

No to mobile signatures. My email signature matches my desktop one (when I choose to use one).

No "sent from my..." for me. I refuse to advertise for commercial companies.

I figure with the tools I have at my disposal, there shouldn't be a drop off in production when I'm on the go. No need to announce the tool.

    Again, IMHO.

I find it funny how tapatalk/CB automatically italicizes the "sent" text and everything after it.

The signature usually indicates more about the sender. If it is the default it usually means they don't have the time, knowledge, interest in changing it. Someone should try a prank one like "sent from my iPhone 7"
