What is considered a good signal strength? I realize that many variables (carrier, interference, location etc.) affect signal strength, but in general, what in dbm is considered a good signal strength? Mine seems to fluctuate between -88 dbm and -98 dbm Just curious.

I usually sit at -80 to -88, always full bars.

I typically run -80 dBm with full bars. -110 dBm or less and I have trouble holding the connection. Is -88 to -98 an indoor reading?

-88 to -98 is an indoor reading Jeff. AT&T as a whole, has provided me with good coverage outdoors, so I never really paid attention, but I will check to see what it reads outdoors.

That's good then. I was thinking if that was your best outdoor signal, you might have a problem indoors or under worse conditions.
