    Hello,

I need someone's advice on what to do. I have the curve 9330 and it is working fine. I recently got a text last night that a new OS was available to install, OS 6. I went through with it and updated from OS 5. Should I have done so or should I downgrade and go back? I only ask because of the saying ya know if it's not broke don't fix it and it was working wonderful under OS 5. It is still okay now, just a little different to get used to. I am new to blackberry so I am not sure if updating is the right thing to do to keep the phone current which I did. Thank you very much!

    9330 has 512 RAM/Storage. I'd just stick with OS6 it's pretty nice.

On a 9300 I'd probably not upgrade due to App Space concerns...

I've run several OS 6 leaks and I'm now running the VZW official which is great. It's very smooth and responsive. I think it's much better than OS 5. It takes a few days to get used to it. If you don't like it you can always downgrade to OS 5.

ok you think it will be okay with the 9330 or to go back. I'm not really sure where to check how much RAM/Storage I have. I am pretty sure this is the 9330 phone, unless there is somewhere to check

Go to Options> Device> About Device Versions

The first line will tell you the device model and the third line down will you what OS you have.

ok I got the 9330 and 6.0 Bundle 1741. I am not sure how much RAM/Storage I have, but based on what the other guy said above, it's 512.

So you think it's good to stay with OS 6 based on that? I wasn't sure what you meant with OS 6 leaks and then i think you were referring to OS 6 being good. Let me know, thank you!

You're fine. I think you have OS ver. 6.0.0.431. FYI, to check your available free memory go to the search icon on your home screen or from the home screen type memory click on options and go to storage.

Stick with the OS 6. And with 512 you'll probably have no problems with the space for the apps.

Yes i got ver. 6.0.0.431 and it says I got 220.7 MB free. And as I said, I am pretty sure this is the 512 RAM/Storage since it's a 9330. Thank you alot and I will stay with it. I appreciate all the help from you and others in this thread!

I don't really notice any real significant difference in the OS6 & OS5. They both are equally as good to me as I have a 9650 & a 9670, one with OS 5 (9650) & the other with OS6 (9670).

Yes, the Curve 3G 9330 (CDMA) has 512 RAM/Storage. The Curve 3G 9300 (GSM) has 256 RAM/Storage. Don't ask me why RIM was dumb and made the specs on two practically identical phones so dispirate :P

You're good to go, .431 is a solid OS for me on my 9650. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck and enjoy it.
