I have a 8330 that i have had for over 2 years with Verizon. I can get a "new every 2" phone now for free or $cheap depending on the model. This one still works ok.. Are there any models out there worth upgrading to now?? Or should i wait for something new to come out? I have no interest in the Storm, tried it and didnt like not having the keyboard.

So looks like they have the Bold 9650, and Newer Curve 8530 ???

I dont really run any apps.. Things i would like.. Better browsing. Mobile Hot spot. Better Camera. Better Sound/speakers..

Should i wait for the Torch? Or something new to come?

I remember the days....loved the 8330. Only problem is, it's a dinasour. I've heard good things about the Bold and it's apparently going to get OS6. So now is not a bad time to move. You'll be blown away at the difference between a new berry and the 8330.

If I was you, I would upgrade now because the difference will be huge!

I'd get the 9650 since it's going to offer a better browsing experience quite soon.

Yes, self-ping. I, too, am wondering what you're thoughts will be if and when you get a new model. Other than a few minor OS gripes I have, I don't really think of my Curve as a dinosoar. Perhaps it is, but does that mean it's no good?

My gripes: I would love it if I could access the application switcher by pressing and holding the menu key and, also, the problem expressed in this topic -- http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/noti...on-511605-new/

My first bb was a 8330 and I had it for about a year and a half before I decided to upgrade to the 9650 about a month ago. It's a great difference for me. A lot more memory, faster OS, good battery life. I am very satisfied with my upgrade

Hmmm i dont have any issues with memory, speed, battery life with my 8330..
    Only issues i have are
    1) Sometimes have to pull the battery cause emails stop coming
    2) Issue when i last tried to upgrade the OS with the squelsh noise every time i answered. Perhaps this was a bum version. Have not tried since.
    3) Camera leaves alot to be desired.
    4) Browser stinks, i use Opera but that still isnt that great.

Is the battery life at least as good as your Curve's battery life was?

From what I've seen of the 9650, the battery life is just as good, if not better.

If I was looking to upgrade from an 8330, I would definitely pick up a 9650.

Thanks. That's good to know. An upgrade probably wouldn't be worth it to me if it resulted in less battery life.

I went to a 9650 from 8330. The 8330 is a solid device & I loved mine. If you can get the 9650 for a good price I'd say go for it. I upgraded w/ my new every 2 & hardly spent any money. There's a lot of things the 9650 offers that are upgrades from the 8330. My only real complaint with this BB is the start up time. Takes friggin forever! Luckily battery pulls aren't necessary very often.

9650 is definately a worthy upgrade from the 8330; I did it two weeks ago.
My battery life has been atrocious though; I'm gonna try and get a new battery from Sprint to see if that's the problem.
