Hi,

I am thinking of upgrading soon. I want to hear some others opinions about what I should do. I am wondering if you think I should get a 9900, or wait until BB10? I will be buying either of these options off contract/unlocked, so I will be paying full price. The reason for that is because will be using the device on T-Mobile prepaid. The reason I am also asking this is because I don't want to spend $500+ on the device, and if history repeats itself, a BB10 device would be. Amazon has an unlocked 9900 for $389.99. My current device is a 8530, so it's quite old. So, my options are get the 9900 now, and upgrade to BB10 late next year, or just wait until BB10, and get it as soon as it's available unlocked, but most likely drop over $500 that I don't feel comfortable doing, considering I seem to put quite a bit of abuse on devices.

There are only 2 decisions and both will anger you. One get the 9900/9930 and enjoy it but coolness will be gone when BB10 arrives and you will be made you spent money on it. Second you stay with what you got and miss all the cool stuff from the 9900 /9930 and get BB10 and feel like you should have moved on the Bold when you could have and be mad all over.
Solution is to get the Bold now then move on to BB10 and not worry about it. You will be making harder compromises later in life...UP THE IRONS

I just got a 9930 moving up from an 8530. The 8530 was a horrible piece of equipment and the 9930 is light years ahead of any thing you could need unless you want to watch tv. find a bold owner who will let you see the smooth processor, how easy applications open and close. wait for something no one has seen is easy to do if you are the end of the rainbow type

grab the chance. it's a good price for dakota. And hopefully, you will be not sorry to have it. If bb10 release, make sure the qwerty one is already released and you need to taste it first. then, you can switch from bb7 to bb10.

Difficult choice, Only you know what you want.

Ideally you should get a 9900 now and then sell it and get a BB10 device once its released, getting a new phone now would also allow you to wait 6-8 months to allow RIM to launch its entire line-up of 2013, then you will have more choice for your BB10 purchase.

However if u are only going to spend Once on a phone within the next two years or so, id say BB10 would be the better thing to get you thru 2014.

but beware, it seems the hardware in the newer devices will be top notch, matching the Flagship Devices of the android crowd, so expect the prices to be HIGH

You can buy and enjoy a 9900 right now, why wait? When the time comes you can sell it and buy the next one you want but why wait for months for a device? Worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

The 9900 is an amazing mobile phone with the best keyboard full stop.

Buy a 9900 now and work four extra hours a week to buy BB10 in Feb ($10 per hour - mid Q1) and have both.

i'd say wait for bb10
i dont know you, but i think you'd regret your decision (if you decide to go for 9900) the moment bb10 hits the market
