I already have a 3 month old 8100 pearl and I can get a curve for a good price-$40-and I really want hotspot@home, but I also love my pearl and I type really fast on it. I use my pearl mainly for texting calling, emailing, web browsing, and pim. Will the transition to full qwerty be hard or easy? I have used only SureType since 2 years ago when my dad got a blackberry pearl and I used it constantly. Now I finally got my own. Should I take the deal on the curve or should I stay with my pearl. I just want your opinions(maybe some facts too). Thanks.

The transition to QWERTY from SureType will be seamless!!

I used a 7100t and an 8100 Pearl on TMo (both had SureType)... and now I use the 8320!!

I definitely recommend the upgrade 100%!! The screen size, QWERTY and memory on the Curve are amazing!

(Side Note : Where are you getting a TMo Curve for only $40?!?! I would definitely hop on that!! The browsing on WiFi and calling on UMA are awesome!

And, are you going to sell the old Pearl? )

I'd go with the Curve. The full keyboard makes a big difference
Best Buy has the Curve this week only for $49.99. With upgrade only.

Take the deal and try it! Wont hurt ya a bit. if you dont want it, ill take it for the $40...lol See which one ya like before selling the other. Although i have the pearl and love it for texting! It all is the choice of the owner, but buy the phone for that price anyways!

I have 3 years of SureType experiance though. I am getting the curve for $40 at costco. I might sell the pearl to one of my friends that already wants it but I might keep it as a backup. I am 12.

You will be slow at first, but as you get used to the qwerty, I guarantee your accuracy and speed will be better than with SureType. The Curve is a much better phone, in my opinion, and in the opinion of many others. And $40 is a great price... Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

do it! you'll love the curve - and for $40 if you decide you like the Pearl better you're not really out a lot of money.

Does the curve feeze a lot? My pearl does. I'm going for the 8320.

You are 12, and you have had a Berry for 3 years?? That is ridiculous!! (sorry)

Anyways... does the Curve from Costco require a conract agreement?? If so, you will probably need your parents to extend their contract just for you to get the Curve. This also might not be possible because it may require a new contract.

I would go for it, if possible!! Good luck

The Curve 8320 is great. Your Pearl freezes a lot because you probably need to clean up the memory and optimize your device a little. Pearls are known to have bad memory issues!!

As for the Curve 8320... do you have TMobile? OR are you going to get the device unlocked for ATT?

I have been using my dads pearl for 2.5 years and I have had my own for like 4 months.I would use my dads upgrade credit cause he hasn't upgrade for 3 years.it does require a 2 year contract but it would just start the 2 years over that started 4 months ago when I got my pearl.

Will I have to pay 10 extra a month for hotspot@home unlimited? Or is it included with the unlimited blackberry add on?

I have all that stuff already. So if I pay for the $10 extra a month it will cover all the phones on my family plan?

Get the Curve. I flipped from the Pearl to Curve last month. It's an easy transition. The full qwerty keyboard is awesome. You can't beat the price either.
