I wanted to check out the sales on BB Priv, but once I got to the site, I had to double check I wasn't on some knock off generic site. I dont know if it's just me, but it looks like some eBay seller's page.

The main website looks terrible too. There's a large image scroller that goes too fast and is distracting and some larger blue squares to take you to another page.

And who calls their main face to their page "home.html" these people need to take a highschool Web design class and learn some basics.

In my opinion BlackBerry should have made the effort, a real effort, to get app developers to develop their apps for BB10 OS. Native apps, not apps that you have to port or get from an app store that even though they work on BB10, they are still android apps and therefore won't allow you to deny them permission to access to your personal data. Data that they may or may not access but in most cases is not necessary or required for the app to run properly. What does BlackBerry's jumping ship to an inferior OS tell all the faithful that stuck with them through the rough years and are still sticking with them, possibly having to defend them regularly against naysayers or having to endure ridicule for still using a BlackBerry? To me it tells me that all of my support was for naught, because we, (BlackBerry), don't really care about you. We want to make money and we're going to do whatever we want to make it. Even if that means that we will no longer develop or support our superior OS but switch to an inferior one so we can get back former BBOS or BB10 customers that bailed on us when we lagged behind the other OS. Ahem, hopefully we will get them back. I will never buy an android device, even one that has BlackBerry embossed on it, because for one thing the OS just doesn't appeal to me. So if BlackBerry 10 goes the way of the Dodo bird I will find myself in a quandary. Do I switch to ios which I find to be pretty boring? Granted I've only had access to ios 5 I think, so the OS may be much different and better now. Do I switch to a Windows phone hoping that it's like their computer OS, and if it is I'm still not really sure that I'll like it on a mobile device? Or will I stop using a mobile device altogether? I hope that John Chen isn't speaking with a forked tongue when he states that BlackBerry is committed to BB10, because even though it was late to the table and didn't have much, if any, support from the US carriers, Thorsten Heins had a gem in his hands with BB10.

OS10 was way too late when it was launched, this is old news but the OS standard had already been set with Android and IOS. Android had a major advantage because of it being open source which attracted a lot of development folks who not only like to create apps, but also develop custom ROM's.

IOS hit the market like a freight train because folks fail to realize that Apple had already embedded themselves in most of the school systems who where already using Apple computers, so when the iPhone was launched, it was only natural for the younger crowd to migrate to and embrace the device.

Look at Windows mobile, even with all the billions and resources that Microsoft has, that didn't guarantee the OS was going to be successful in the marketplace and the sales numbers show the end result of all the money they poured into trying to make it compete with Android and IOS.

I really believe if Blackberry would have really made a great effort and released OS10 a year or two earlier, some of their former user base would still be with us. That would had also depended if they would have had the app developers in line to support the new OS?

I know all of this is water over the bridge, but I feel they had no choice then to go the Android route or the device division would have went the way of the dodo bird. I still may happen, but at least they made an effort in creating the Priv.

I think the April company numbers will be the determining factor as to wether they continue to make consumer devices into the future? It's still a lot of speculation up to this point and as for myself, I have myself strapped in for the long bumpy ride and it should be an interesting one. Just my two cents.

I am a college student in marketing.

As part of my program, I have to do 8 months of internship, I already did the first 4. (Anyone hiring?)

While on my internship, the guy who did graphic design and website design left the company.

Because I was the only person remotely qualified, I took over website design and graphic design.

I have absolutely no previous experience, I basically winged the whole thing. I think I did a decent job honestly.

Why did I say all this? Because that looks like a job that I would do. (Reminding you that I have near zero experience with graphic and website design)
