YES. But most states already have laws on the books regarding driving and cell phone use. These laws would cover BB use as well.

I don't think it should be illegal for adults to talk and drive but I do think new drivers/teen drivers need some guidance, possibly mandatory handsfree or a minimum age to be able to talk and drive. But No Texting or Email for anyone.

The government should not be the police of everything. We as adults need to use common sense and police ourselves.

Unfortunately, I am going to say yes! Because there are so many bad drivers who exacerbate their lack of skills by talking on the phone and getting distracted! Nine times out of 10 when I see a near accident or an example of poor driving, the culprit was chatting on a phone. Likely not a blackberry, because we are adept at multi-tasking, but some inferior cell phone product.

I believe that if you have voice dialing and a bluetooth headset that you would be alright, if you don't then then you should be fined

Well, seeing the way people drive while on their cell phones, yes. I honestly don't think it would make that big of a difference if they did.

I was hit at a stop light two weeks ago....by a lady talking on her Curve.

i would say probably, the reason for it is because i have been one to use all aspects of my BB while driving. i think if they were to do that, it would be for me own good.

Even though I personally use it while driving, texting is very distracting and I think txting should be illegal. Can easily cause and accident.

I think as long as the user is using an earpiece (as I do) or Bluetooth of some sort, it shouldn't be illegal. You still have full range of motion while driving and can use both hands on the wheel.
