    You know, the flashing green light that lets you know whether or not you have network coverage. Well, how many of you leave this option on?

    Mine is on 24/7/365. But, according to the post above, looks like I can have it off, but it will still be red when a message or call comes in, so, am about to change!

    Yes, Navilyn. I was actually thrilled when I found out I could do this - I didn't need the green service light on (especially at night)..however, the notification red light is a must

    I never knew I had a green indicator light as my VZW had turned it off before he handed it over to me!

    As a result, I've never used it...

    On during the day, off at night since the flashing drives my fiance nuts. I was also not aware that I could just make it blink red when I have a message. I may try that, even though I've gotten used to the strobing green light.

    For me the problem is that because we are predators, we have the "orienting reflex" where the flash attracts our attention. For me, it makes me think I have a message if I leave it on, so I turn it off most of the time so that it will be clear when the red one is flashing.

    I would have mine turned on if it wasn't for the fact it flashes in my eye when I am using the phone. If it was on top of the phone, I'd use it, or otherwise further away from my field of vision.

    Options-->Screen/Keyboard-->LED Coverage Indicator

    If you want to turn it off, that's where you'll find the relevant setting on the BlackBerry Curve 8300 (it should be the same or similar for other models though)...
