Trying to figure out why so many people are having so much trouble... my Niece, on an iPhone on MTS, got BBM. within 5 minutes I was added on my z10 on Rogers and, then my wife on her z10 on MTS.
I'm now getting requests from friends on other platforms without any issues. There must be something else???

What are you suggesting?
Suggesting nothing. I'm no tech guy by any stretch but, I've not had an issue. I have the 10.2 now and, it's fantastic. I'm not sure where all the issues are coming from.

I only have BlackBerry phones so hopefully someone can answer this. Can you use the NFC bump method to add contacts on the Android version of BBM? That's how I usually add contacts BlackBerry to BlackBerry.

Yes. Did it this morning with a Experia phone.

Thanks.

Take it easy add the pin your self is not a big deal. Why complain about adding a pin?

Simply adding pins works, barcode scanning works instantly.......people are ready to make a fuss over anything....damned if I do damned if I don't!
And apparently the NFC bump works on the Android version.

That's how BlackBerry works most of the time...Stupid and ignorant...They make great products but demonstrate total lack of common sense. Agree with OP

Just type "mypin" and space and your pin shows up.

I don't think we can assume that because something works for you it works for everyone.
Perfection at launch for any tech product? Lol no. Let them work out the kinks

If someone gives you their pin how do i add that in bbm
Click on invite within BBM

I did that and I only get the option to send my pin etc. I want to add a pin
On the invite screen.. where it says "to" put the pin number. (that belongs to the person you are trying to add)

If you select invite by pin, doesn't it take you to a screen to enter the persons pin?
Discovered my niece could only add by pin if all the letters in the pin were typed in uppercase. Works like a charm now. Odd no?

To find your pin on BB10 easily, swipe up from bezel with two fingers and type "mypin" your pin shows up. I've done this way for adding someone start typing their pin (contact) in search and you then have the option to just send a request to add the person.

Obviously you are refering to a ios or android user so go on those forums and people there why there phones can't do simple action lika all BB's can.
I have always found BBM invite to be easy. But maybe I have been mistaken.
Curve 8320, Bold 9780, Bold 9900, PB 64gb, Z10
I tried just entering a pin and it wouldn't work, I had them invite me via txt, I long pressed the pin:... and chose invite... then it sent them an invite which they excepted. tell me that's not complicated! Anyway I did notice that when I did the invite it put "pin:......" into the contact field, so maybe in the future I'll try typing the word pin: before their pin. just the pin# did not work. It was an iPhone user I was trying to add.
