I have a q10 for a little over a year. My W key just started to behave really sensitively. It doesn't need a full press to trigger it and just a little pressure will do it. Often when I'm trying to type around it like e or q my thumb may roll a little and trigger the w.

Just wondering if this is a common issue or not and if it is worth trying to get fixed. But if other keys start doing the same thing I might as well have an iPhone keyboard.

Yes, this is quite common for Q10 (may not be specifically the W. For me it was the O). If you search through the threads, you will find lots of articles on this. If you can pull your phone apart and buy a new keyboard off Ebay, you can fix it yourself! I had a local phone shop help me change mine. Once replaced it's fine. I bought 2 more spare for future double typing that may occur.

Why are such cardinal issues not being addressed by BlackBerry? This is one certain instance of their growing downfall, statistically though.

It is at least not an uncommon issue, there are many topics regarding this so called "double-typing" issue. You need to get a new keyboard or fix the existing keyboard yourself.
Easiest way would be by claiming warranty, or at least try finding some repair shop which also services BlackBerry devices.

Q10 kb for under $10 with tools on ebay. Seems like an option for me.

Do it. I did. Now happy with Q10 again.... :-D

(new KB seems to be brighter and easier to press than the old one, which is good!)

I'd ask this in the Q10 forum and you'd probably get more responses.
