The SecuSmart logo needs to have the BlackBerry symbol imbedded in there somehow, just like how QNX added it to their company name.

The SecuSmart logo needs to have the BlackBerry symbol-untitled.png

The SecuSmart logo needs to have the BlackBerry symbol-secusmart.png

Where are the photoshop peeps to show their magic.

    ok, thanks

Totally agree, people should know that BlackBerry is behind cool companies as Secusmart an QNX...or would it be negative advertising?

    It's risky (tie everything-including failures-together) and expensive (re-branding costs).

Or we don't screw with a company that's actually making money by attaching "baggage" to it in the form of branding that's viewed negatively?

Let them handle their business, they're doing fine.

And let the brand toxicity spread? I think it is better for BlackBerry to be renamed SecuSmart instead.

Thank you. People say this with every company BlackBerry buys but forget all reputation that BlackBerry still has with many. Leave the company name as secusmart lol

That'll be a kiss of death for secusmart. Leave it as it is.

Having a separate brand identity helps as well in case things don't work out between the two companies and Blackberry wants to sell Secusmart later down the line.

SecuSmart produces targeted products for industry specific clients. Its branding has nothing to do with the consumer market. These comments that branding it with a BlackBerry logo would hurt the company are rubbish and make no corporate sense. Having the BlackBerry logo with QNX isn't hurting that company and neither is the BlackBerry sponsorship hurting Mercedes-Benz.

Face facts... to the public... BB is dying and going bankrupt any day if it already hasn't... why saddle a company with that association... if BB buys more companies...expect the same treatment.. maybe in a couple of years if BB is thriving and not sold for parts a single banner would make sense....

If you read some of the press.... they are very negative about SecuSmart simply because it is a Blackberry company... They spend more time knocking BB than looking at what the product is....

Yep, apparently you're saying it again what I've already tried to get across with the "cat out of the bag" thing. :-D

Just betrays the silliness (or bias) of these reviewers, if Secusmart had stayed an independent company, it would have been the same product (in most cases). They have only been a BlackBerry company for a few months at the max, ...

If SecuSmart had stayed a separate company, none of those reviewers would have bothered reviewing its product either. So it's not all good and not all bad to be associated with Blackberry.

The BlackBerry brand is a damaged one when it comes to devices. Nothing wrong with partnering or releasing new products under a different brand.

They'll probably do so when they release a BlackBerry Android line.

BlackBerry is the phone, which is just one of many products the company offers. THOR really shouldn't have changed the name from Research In Motion, so to answer your question no they should not incorporate a BlackBerry logo into the image of other product offerings because it's the logo of the phone, not the company.
