    So if I do a security wipe what will I lose? Also will my battery drain be fixed....so basically I would have re add everything back lime emails and bbm contacts

    You'll lose everything. Data, pictures, apps, videos, you name it.
    The battery drain issue depends on a lot of things.

    Too many variables to be certain, but OTA updates tend to cause impaired device function for a short period immediately after install.

    Anyway, a security wipe gets rid of anything on the device memory that isn't system files. So yes, you'll have to set up BBM again (your contacts, groups and Channels are saved off-device, but not chats), plus emails, other accounts, etc.

    The operating system works hard on re-indexing various data, so the battery drain is normal for the first couple of days.

    (The phone is also used a little more than usual, because users want to get acquainted with the new features.)
