lol, are you serious??? LOL there is no such thing as to much usage.:D
there is never enough.
Hey all, I posted earlier in this thread about my hands getting sore from spending too much time on my BB and just wanted to follow up with this article I read online.
(Read more at The Pains and perils of Blackberry thumb)James Cullen was already spending long periods sitting at his work PC when he was given a BlackBerry last year. Soon the 59-year-old investment banker found himself answering e-mails on the handheld device out of hours, too. After a few months, he started experiencing a debilitating stiffness and pain in the thumb and fingers of his right hand.
“Now, it’s difficult to close my hand, or pick up a kettle,” he says, “and shaking hands can be very painful.”
Cullen blames a modern malady: “BlackBerry thumb”. This is a colloquialism for a form of repetitive strain injury (RSI) linked not just to over-use of a BlackBerry, but of other handheld devices, including mobile phones.
I really believe that one line between using your BlackBerry and using it too much is the one that your body gives you. For some, they might be able to use it much more than others so it's up to each of us to know our limits and to honor our bodies by not pushing it.
In this day and age of digital devices, I have more and more friends who have RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury), and I never thought I would have that problem. Thankfully my wrists and hands are still pain-free, but there have been times when they ached after too much typing, or BB'ing. It's not the fault of the BB and I won't even blame our lifestyles either. I can only blame myself if I ignore the line that my body tells me, either through pain or numbness.
So please, stay healthy! :) Love your BB's, but take care of yourself first!
 Umm... too much? What's too much? Well, I think if you go to bed wearing your bluetooth headset your are in real trouble then.... but getting email at 3am...who sends email at 3am? I really don't know :p :p ;)
I would thing that when you start pushing the side of you ear to talk to people, thinking you talking with your bluetooth headset. That I would say is when its too much!
Too much would be when you can't eat or sleep-like that MySpace video.
"Man, man-can I use your computer to check my MySpace?"
When you're going through withdrawls & bugging other folks for the BB, then you've got some issues!
Or if your fingers get cramped-step away from the BB!
:o
too much is when you spend at least 11 hours of a day on your blackberry downloading applications that you dont even plan to use.
Thats hard to say, because once you've used it so much that your family has left you, you could really then just use it more...
I don't have a BB yet :( but I would spend all day on it if i had one!
You can never use your BB too much!
never too much BB
I pretty much have abandoned my laptop because my crackberry is available all day.
Too much if you are trying to convert your boyfriend into getting one. And if they don't, you break up with them :D
there is no such thing as too much blackberry useage, I find new uses for my pearl all the time
I am on it an embarrassing (to non-Crackberrys) amount each day. I voted "2-hours"...but in reality, it might be more than that.
Guess that means I'm hooked...right????
Truly, 2 hours or less then it isn't really a CRACKberry for you then, right??
There should be more categories in the poll, mine is practically hardwired to my person....so much more than 2 hours
Too much time is when my boss complains I'm always on it.
Crackberry Krazy!!!!!!
Well most of my day I'm holding it hahaha. I can tell my dog hates the thing.. My parents hate it as well!
But my dad has an 8700 and he uses it for work.. He's probably on it more than I am.
Hmmm too much how do you spell that:confused:
Well, Recently my Sister had her second child. During the delivery, our mother was filming, and at one point, she panned over to my sister's husband, and he was playing Brickbreaker on his 8310! That is too much.
Who Said "wretched excess is just enough" something like that........
Typing in your sleep might be a little much
I need a power station
When you have an imprint of the keypad on your cheek it is time to set it down>
