Hi guys,

I have encountered a rare problem here whereby my screen will not rotate into landscape mode while I have not restarted my BlackBerry Z30 for a week... After a restart, it is fine again.. is this some kind of a bug??

There are some apps like BBM that will not rotate into landscape mode, except if the conversation is seen from the Hub. Anyway, you can check if you enabled Rotation Lock by accident.

Nope... I have not enabled any rotation lock.. however, I noticed that after I opened other android apps, the apps that can be tilted and rotated, the hub will become normal again... I think this is really a bug..

No its not a bug. I phones do the same thing and a simple restart will fix it. Except for the Bbm thing. Your phone is a computer and some times it just need a refresh by starting it. Some time they use up a lot of resources and just need to be restarted it's not a big deal.

I thought that QNX in BlackBerry 10 was designed to be reliable as it does not need a restart... then how could we clarify that the QNX is used on a system where the cost of failure is very high??

Open Camera and rotate to landscape, close Camera. Now, rotation is working. It's bug on Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.2141.

Same issue, I just noticed today. Tried in hub, bbm, browser, camera. Everything that I know should allow it to go landscape

I also have z30 with same OS but have sta100-5
