I use the cleaning cloth that came with my Pioneer plasma TV. It does a great job.

What about windex and a soft paper towel?

No solvents! The outer lens of the screen is just soft plastic. Solvents like Windex may cloud or pit the surface. Microfiber cloths like a camera lens cloth or sunglasses cloth work well. I usually breathe on it to fog it a bit, then wipe it with a soft cloth, like a clean t-shirt, when it's smudged. When it's dry, I use the microfiber cloth.

and... not all paper towels are created equally. Some are quite soft and lintless and might be ok tho I wouldn't normally want to use one. Others are cheap, linty and almost rough, like a hand paper towel in a restroom. not something that should be touching your screen. Sometimes it's my shirt or pants that get the job, if they have the right softness quotient.

Yeah, paper towels are no good. Also, beware the silkscreened t-shirt! *scratch*

I use a microfiber cloth when I'm in my room but during the day when I get annoyed with the smudges etc I use my tshirt.

I use one of those packets that you clean your glasses with. Never had any problems.

Microfiber cloth works well, and I hadn't thought of fogging it first with my breath...good idea.

When mine gets oily I spray a good eyeglass cleaner on a soft , lint-free cloth and wipe it down. It also cleans the trackball and it moves better...

I only clean mine when its so dirty that I can't see it, hence hardly ever. When I need to clean it I use whatever is handy, just like any other cell phone I ever had.
