Whenever I download a PDF, it asks me if I'm sure I want to download a file that cannot be viewed on my phone.. But I can view the file through the email, so I figured I would just try to download it to make sure, and sure enough, I can't view it without doing it through the Messages application.

So why would they make it where I can't just save the file and delete the message?

You can view the file as an email attachment because the email application converts it to images for you to view.

But you will need a third party application to open PDF files stored in the device memory or on the media card.

Not sure I understand your last statement, though.

The Premium (ie paid) version will as it contains a PDF viewer.

There are others such as BeamReader.

    None are free.
