Google maps works great! But is there a way to mark your current position for later plotting?

What might be cool, esp. when on vacation, hiking, etc. is for an app to save your current position to a file at preset intervals. Then the coordinates could be placed on a map to get a plot of your route.

Is there something like this around?

Garmin for blackberry allows waypoint marking but it is not free.

Blackberry's Maps Application gives you many choices on what to do with the coordinates -- send it via email, sms, PM, copy/paste.

Try pasting these coordinates into Google Earth.
