The moto G and Z10 are both available for about the same price. Then why do people say that the z10 is expensive but the Moto G is cheap?

because ppl are stupid. Z10, even lauched a year ago, has better phone experience than Moto G.

Z10 is 4G phone
Z10 screen has better pixel density
Z10 Has card slot, AND DEFAULT 16 GB memory, while Moto G cheapest version jusst 8.
Z10 has NFC
Z10 has better camera(s) (8 mpix vs 5; 1080p vs 720p)
Z10 has better CPU; GPU; OS () and overall phone experience.
MotoG has FM radio and slightly better battery, but I am not sure, if 200 mah will make a difference due to different OS'es...

Good question. Been wondering the same thing myself.

To address the OP I think it's that price off contract that's why. Kind of like the Nexus pricing strategy where they undercut all competitors and price it almost at a loss or breakeven gross margins in order to increase sales.

Two completely different phones targeted at different markets. The Z10 was originally sold as a high end, flagship device and has only gone down in price because of the lack of sales.

If anything the G should be compared to the Q5. Just because the price has dropped significantly for the Z10 doesn't mean that you can compare it to a low end Android device on specs alone.
